Celtic fun with Amy & Michael
Amy and Michaels beautiful handfasting ceremony combined with a little mixing of their favorite beer.
Held at the Sea Oaks Country Club in Tuckerton New Jersey was a pint full of feckin’ fun.
Nan & Brandon
Nan & Brandon….A great couple that are perfect for each other,
and what a BIG Beautiful wedding on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
When I mean big I mean real BIG, I think half of the Eastern Shore attended.
The ceremony was held at the Franktown United Methodist Church
and the reception at the a Barrier Islands Center.
Those fun photos on the dock were taken at a famous Eastern Shore Clam and oyster shack called Bayford.
Savage Neck excavation
While most of you are probably not into archeology……..LISTEN UP…….There is a archeological excavation going on right in our own backyard. Down Savage Neck road in Eastville Virginia there is approximately 25 – 30 people, mostly volunteers excavating the beach. I went down there and checked it out…pretty cool…maybe not Indiana Jones cool, but it is pretty exciting for the Eastern Shore. As soon as you walk onto the beach you will be greeted by someone who will give you a little info…for example the site has been estmated to be over 2000 years old . Another little bit of info I learned is that it’s the 487th excavation site in Northampton county. To learn more go HERE.
The excavation is one week only from May 2nd – 9th so get down there soon.
Tall Ship Harvey Gamage
The Harvey Gamage pulled into Cape Charles Harbor on April 21, 2012 at around 3:00pm.
Dave Kabler shot off a welcome canon twice upon arrival.
This tall ship is the first of the year in Cape Charles Harbor leading up to OpSail 2012 .
The Harvey Gamage is a student teaching vessel. More info from the Ocean Classroom Foundation website.
” In December of 1993, Harvey Gamage was purchased by a non-profit educational organization in
Bath, Maine that evolved into the Ocean Classroom Foundation (OCF) of today.
Harvey Gamage is now devoted exclusively to sea education programming,
while still following her traditional route between New England and the Caribbean.”
More of these beautiful tall ships will be sailing into Cape Charles during the summer months.
Check out Tall Ships Cape Charles for dates and info.
Julie & Tyler get hitched
Julie got ready in the Bimini flats overlooking the marina.
Tyler chilled out with rest of the groomsman at the Aqua bar.
The ceremony took place on the lawn with the beautiful Chesapeake bay as the backdrop.
The party afterwards was well….. a PARTY with fantastic loud dance music provided by
our local Deejay Xs Shane Hayward. Great food and service was provided by the Aqua staff,
and a little homemade moonshine to top it all off.
What a great party…ah…um… I mean wedding.

The Striker Band
The Striker Band played this past Saturday night at Kelly’s Gingernut Pub in Cape Charles Virginia.
The guys put on a fantastic show with a lot of energy. They played a bunch of great cover tunes,
everything from U2 to Weezer to The Commodores and threw in some originals.
To quote (or copy and paste) their website……..
”The Striker Band is a group of seasoned professional musicians.
We bring a full production of sound and lights. Our song list has plenty of music you can
dance or rock out to. The thing that makes our band so special is that we are very close friends…
almost like family and this shows in our performances.
Need a great party band? Look no further, and give us a call!”
I totally agree….. They are definitely a great party band.
Check out their website and see where they play next.
